I had a great teaching day. And it wasn't so much because I love being a teacher (although heck, it played a big role) as much as it's because I love being a writer. I was positively giddy talking about elements of style and word choice and paragraphs. I was happy to help my students put a sentence together, come up w/ a better way to say what they wanted to say. "And I get paid for this," I said to each class, a smile plastered on my face. You'd think I was talking about tennis, or videogames, or cake-tasting (someone please tell me how to get that job).
I love being a writer.
